General Sam meta and thoughts on S4

So I think I need to rewatch S4. As in, all of it. From Lazarus to Lucifer and yes, that unfortunately includes Yellow Fever and ASS and CAIADB. There are just so many interesting themes and nuances that keep getting brought up and even each of the MOTW throwaway episodes does something to refer to the overall mytharc in some way or another,

I'm a Dean!girl but this season in particular has given be a deep and abiding love for the younger Winchester. Seriously, Sam fascinates me and trying to puzzle out his logic and reasoning has been a treat.

I've heard complaints from people asking where Sam's story was and it's true that it was frustrating when the season was airing because they didn't make it obvious where we were supposed to pick up the bits and pieces of that story. When rewatching though, it's kinda fun because you can find all these bits in the earlier episodes that directly reference themes and events in the second half of the season. 4x04 is pretty obvious for that, but there are other episodes as well that are more subtle while still imparting a lot of information about Sam later on. Also, Sam's story being stealthy like ninja is perfect and made me laugh. *g
