It's like this, I don't reddit. So, uh, I looked around here and couldn't find a HPWU comm, and I thought, what the heck, I made one. The more the merrier... Figured we could use a spot to geek out. 😊 Even managed to put together a few basic tips, if you're interested. And I'd really love to hear the stuff that's working for you. But you can change professions any time, I thought I'd read some where...

Thanks for the tips!

You absolutely *can* do that, I've tested it, but you don't get back your scrolls. (Some games, I've gathered do that, let you change paths midway through with no penalty? Dunno. Doesn't really matter, either. *This one* currently doesn't permit that. So whatever you've invested in one path is 'gone' and not available to advance you along another.) But on the plus side, you can switch back at any point and the progress you made is still there; it doesn't vanish.

(Oh I just want a spot to ask people stuff with much less testosterone present... 😐)

Being able to switch professions only makes sense I suppose...because what if you play long enough to complete all the lessons for all professions? Does that mean one would be equally proficient in dealing with all categories of foundables?

No, you only have the skills of the profession you have currently selected. But theoretically you could change professions based on the foe you're facing, I guess.

*waves*

Yeah, as I was saying to Toby, you *can* do that, but you don't get back your scrolls to apply them to a second career path. Used is used. Where that is going to make a huge difference, unless something changes, is the 'green books'.

I wish that I could play but my iPad says it needs iOS 10 which I have no idea how to get.

It depends on how old your iPad is, because not every iPad can move forward indefinitely. (Chances are decent though.) No risk reccy: go to SETTINGS, scroll down to GENERAL, and then SOFTWARE UPDATE should let you know the score (except some of the menu options changed from version to version, but that should ballpark it.). If not, let me know where you got stuck, and I'll see if we can find an older help version.

Before updating, belts and braces, 'it pays to make a backup', just in case (we haven't needed it yet, knock on wood). You want to have a power cable, be in your wifi, and not need your pad for a while before letting it update away, cause it can take a while. (And I can pretty much guarantee that some piece of software you have on it won't be compatible anymore, because they gave up updating it.) Most major things are though. Also, for security reasons, that's a step you probably want to have taken. There were some scary exploits that you probably don't want me to tell you about.

It says that my iPad is up to date at vers. 9.3.5 what now?

Welp, 'up to date' is wrong, lol, cause we're at 12.3+. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201222 But no worries. They'll walk you through it here.

Basically the steps are: backup, power cable, wifi, time on your hands... (You can set it up to update later, though, like while you're sleeping. There's a link to details for that (if you want them) in the one above.) But seriously, if you like gaming on your iPad, *back it up* so you don't lose your game statuses. You don't want to start from scratch on everything. That just causes tears.
