I like your idea of a monthly bin for journaling. It sounds kind of like making your own scrapbooking kits for each month. I can even see it as a sort of challenge on your blog...hmmmm...
I was very surprised the other day when you posted that you pull a lot of things off your pages before they are considered done. Yes, your style does look deceptively simple and quite elegant! I never would have guessed the trial-and-error part. I think everyone goes through that--only we never see the process.
Julie Fei-Fan Balzer did a post once about "bad" artwork. Stuff she found embarrassing. It was refreshing to see that professionals make some bad art, too!
Oh gosh, my pages are like a hodpodge of so much crap- stickers, labels, tape, etc. Probably the reason I love Washi so much is that it's easy to remove ;) I don't know why I can't just go simple to *start* with. I mean, it's what I end UP with. It's just impossible for me to start simple.
