Yes, it's this week. I'll have to email you...we won't be having much of a Thanksgiving, as it stands now. Nothing horrid...just inconvenient. Have to answer your email!
Thanksgiving has been wonky in my family since I was a baby. If extended family didn't come, it was basically all four of us (mom, dad, me, grandma who lived with us) sitting in our horrid formal dark dining room (think mirrors, gold on everything moulding, red velvet- late 70's Spanish Inquisition style) for an hour and eating silently and then running away from the table as soon as we could. *shudder*
My parents never taught me what Thanksgiving was about, either, so I basically regarded the holiday as this horrible day I had to go through before my parents would put up the Christmas tree (week after Thanksgiving). Now I think it's a great opportunity but I still haven't figured out how to make it something we all love and look forward to. Last year we went to the movies which was great, so we'll see.
