I finished the translation of Ohno-san's interview published in Potato November 2008 issue ^_^

Now I wish I lived in Palau, or in any country where he wants to go to, coz I'd GLADLY arrange everything just to get him there. :) And I'd throw in a fishing lure or something.

That's his idea of an out-of-the-country getaway, it is no wonder he wants a week-long rest in a week!!

That's why I like your posts, Jeffer : you can write easily what I think, when flailing about Ohno-san (I must say that I'm a big fan of your posts and your subs - much much thanks to you for being so active ♥).
Just imagining a girl throwing a fishing lure and getting our Captain with it, is something quite vivid in my mind >///<

And finally, I'm not selling myself short. I just try to be objective on my Japanese abilities : I know I'm just a beginner, but I try to compensate by working a lot. I'd like people who read my translations to understand that I'm far from perfect, that I may have done some mistakes and that I'm completely open to suggestions ^_^

I was lucky to be able to see them both nights in Taipei last October. If they plan to do another AAA this year, I'd definitely want to go again. I only hope it's not japan, coz I don't think I can go there and come back still financially solvent. :)

I't interesting to see the contradictions ohno has.....well lately I've been noticing some of them.... especially when magazine interviews like these are translated as well as his AD..... (that's why i love you guys)....like he says he wants to go to Fiji.... does he know that its super hot over there? Well I have a coworker who is from there so....and he stated in his radio program that he doesn't like hot weather... something to with him not moving at all during hot season's or something like that XDDD

hey you should post this in one of the communities....I'm sure Ohno lubbers like me would appreciate the translations your doing....most of us haven't even reached the level you are at now...and the this would improve their skills as well, given that you made footnotes for us as a basis....

Hmmm... Well, first, I don't know how much of what is written in interviews and AU ad text is really from Ohno-san. Especially the AU ad...
No illusion here, indeed I think most of these kinds of texts are written by specialists (from JE maybe) who "know" the idols, their profiles and, more important, the things their fans want to hear or read. Maybe I'm a bit pessimistic ?

About the hot weather...
I don't know about the Fiji's, but I heard that the summer in Japan is really oppressive, both hot and very wet, as if you were breathing liquid air, sweating every single drop of water you have in your body as soon as you go out (that's what one of my co-workers said after 2 weeks spent there in August). I went there in March/April and October so I didn't experience it...

'fishing net' is a right word?? i know nothing and dont have any interest in fishing. i always thought it's a boring hobby, before this tsuribaka makes fishing sound so good and fun, and he doing nothing but keeps talking bout fishing. now i'm a girl that knows more than before about fishing just because, her idol is a tsuribaka.

"Fishing net" is the right word, yep :)
As for me, I went to fish with my Dad when I was a little girl, but it was not sea-fishing, but river-fishing. It's quite different ^_^
But I loved it, and I think I'd like to try sea-fishing someday.
