Oh loved it! Great numbered deductions and love the thought processes at work here. Excellent ending, too :)

Of course! I don't know the etiquette either... We need a handbook! Or a hostess to introduce us all. I was about to ask you, actually, so it's clearly a Good Idea.

"when words become inadequate, the morgue will provide."

Emphasises unattached - more interesting. Latent bisexual tendencies, then. High degree internal resistance coupled to disapproval of sister - more plausible as secondary factor. Overly defensive when I state married to work.

Fantastic, succinct analysis of why that little exchange is so...telling.

How, how did I miss this one? I love Mycroft writing things out for Sherlock at the end! Burst eardrums, hmmm. I'm not familiar with the effects of said damage. I'm assuming it's something which, once recovered from, people usually end up hearing again.

Awww...thanks honey! *blushes*

Yes, Sherlock will get his hearing back eventually! Although it might be a little less acute! But I wanted the explosion to _mean_ something - and perforated eardrums seemed fairly plausible in the circumstances.

I'm most touched that you've read your way through the back catalogue, so to speak! And delighted that you've found things you've liked - praise from someone you respect is the highest accolade!

The trouble with having a flist the size of mine is that I very often miss things, no matter how hard I try to respond to people's posts in fair rotation (be they fic or non-fic). However, when I get to know certain people in real life, that really makes me zoom in and hunt up more background, as, obviously, I want to know even more about what that person does online now that they're a living, breathing entity in my regard (that's not to say I don't regard the flisters I haven't met as living, breathing entities...oh dear, that's not what I meant at all *headdesk* Not good.)

I quite understand! And speaking for myself, being friended by so many people who were already established was one reason why this fandom was so welcoming - better to friend and only read occasionally than not to friend at all... I'm just touched that you went back and read the stuff!

when words become inadequate, the morgue will provide !!!!! <3 !!!!!

Wonderful. Those experiments, Sherlock's conclusions, the reason for the body parts, the conversation with Mycroft at the end result in a vivid, compelling story.
