Occasional ones are lovely - the lead balloon and the "how many times can you fold a sheet of paper" immediately spring to mind.

Harlequins, horrid things. They swarm, they can bite, they smell, and they eat all other british Ladybird species....

I saw my first of this season last night. There were three by the door on the way in today.

2 years ago, there was a swarm of several hundred in one of our spare rooms.
