*waves* Hello! I love having new people around. :-) Do feel free to drop by anytime. It seems that White Collar seems to be my new theme right now, including fic recs & other things.
IMO, the OT3 got even more flailworthy this week. Unfortunately RL has bitten me in the ass this week and I haven't gotten to making a post about the latest ep. I'm hoping to find some time tomorrow... (Better late than never!)
I'm not sure of how or why they chose to make the Neal/Elizabeth dynamic so open, especially given that we don't know of much contact time between them. She's almost superhuman in her ability to be open and relate to Neal-- as much as Peter, whom she's had at least 10 years practice on and who *isn't* a conman. I like it though, and I'm interested in trying to figure out just why they have it that way and why it works as well as it does.
Flailing too....and the best, convinced a friend to watch with me...and she is flailing too. (she never, ever did that before, even when she really liked a TV show/Movie)
You're welcome to join in all the flailing over here. Still going strong after the latest ep. ;-)
I've been trying to get everyone I know to watch the show, whether or not they are apt to have a flail reaction like the rest of us. I'm finding more often than not they're ending up like your friend.

Weirdly, I don't ship Neal/Peter. It baffles me, considering some of the other stuff I ship. But I could go for the OT3 (even tho I don't exactly ship it). Elizabeth directing Peter and Neal in bed would be totally hot.
I loved when Neal said he was a spy! Mom and I had a good laugh over that and MB playing a spy on Chuck :-D
... WHAT? You, Ms. I Slash Practically Everything I Watch/Read doesn't ship Neal/Peter? Even I ship Neal/Peter- except for the whole 'Peter cheating on Elizabeth with Neal' part. They're practically flirting every 2 seconds.
The OT3 is BEYOND awesome. And it's so there! Elizabeth is entirely too familiar with Peter's pet convict for just them working together. She's direct and says things like Peter being the "best thing that ever happened" to Neal. (How does she know this? How does she know Neal well enough to even make a statement like that?) I swear they have tried on purpose to break our brains.....
Exactly! I just...I have no idea. Fercryinoutloud, I kinda ship Mick and Josef (the two main men on Moonlight, which I have only seen one ep of) just from the way Josef grabs Mick's lapel in once scene. And hell, there were poeple shipping Peter/Neal from the promos before the show even started, so the slash potential is obvious.
If I did ship White Collar I'd definitely be in the OT3 camp. Elizabeth is like the best wife ever. There will be no cheating on her.
I came into White Collar determined to *not* ship anyone simply because people were OMG LOOK AT THEM before the show even aired. And it only took me a couple episodes to just give in to what was clearly plastered over the screen, and then a few episodes later, it became abundantly clear that not only do I ship the boys, but that clearly they belong in an OT3 with Elizabeth. Because somehow she already loves Neal and tolerates her husband's clear self-denial about the whole 'falling in love with Neal' thing.

Neal talking Elizabeth to talk to later on, like this is a common occurrence and the preferred way to do things
Despite the seriousness of that part, I was flailing around in my seat because OMGOT3!! Love, so much love.

These are just from a promo photo shoot-- not even from a scene or anything. JUST Matt & Tim. http://tzikeh.livejournal.com/551695.htm
And from a recent interview:

It's like... are you freaking *kidding* me? Even these guys seem to ship them. Or completely act it themselves. Chemistry like WHOA.
