So I don't think I'm completely prepared for this port. I already know I won't be dressed for it. But I've gotten to glance at more modern locales than my own since coming here, just never anyplace as big as people say New York City is ( Read more... )

I am sorry for scheming to turn you, so that I might be entertained by your seafaring adventures, for always.

And prior... Indiscretions...

Um... I didn't really know that. But I guess if you're apologizing, apology accepted?

It was not meant for you to know... But you now should know.

If you have need of my skills, I am at your service, Captain.

Why this sudden turn? What's wrong?

I'd offer you some of my clothes, but I think they'd be too short on you.

I would recommend the tourist thing, even if it's going to be really crowded at this time of year. There's an amazing tree in Rockerfeller Center, and ice skating below it. There's also stories like FAO Schwartz that are just plain fun.

And you may like the Seaport. I think they have Tall ships there.

The water's probably not too fun a place to be if it's going to be really cold, though.

This is true, and the wind'll probably be an issue. It tends to be a bit vicious because of the tall buildings.

Morgan, I am taking you dress-shopping. I don't want to hear any protests, because I won't pay attention to them.

Dress shopping?

Yes! As in: getting you something pretty to wear for the holidays. It'll be fun.

Oh. For the party, you mean.

It has to be a dress? I mean, I've got the one but I only wear that when I'm trying to fool people into thinking I'm a lady. I don't think dresses are really my style.

Ray's Pizza-- they all claim their the real deal but the ORIGINAL is on the corner of 6th Avenue and 11th.

There's the Empire State Building? There were a bunch of wives tales about dropping a penny off the side and it making a crater where it landed.

There's Rockefeller Center and The Chrysler Tower, The Brooklyn Bridge and The Statue of Liberty.

The Museum of Modern Art and Central Park.

That's all I got.

It's too bad you won't be near Soho... that's the art district.

That's a lot. I hope there'll be enough time for it!

Well I'm sure you'll manage between girly shopping trips.

Another thing you should know is that there are street performers everywhere. Some people pretend to be robots and others dip themselves in metallic paint... people on stilts, and dancers!
