I've been a Buffalo Springfield fan for a long long time and was overjoyed to see them take the stage again for the first time in 42 years last October 23, 2010 at the Bridge School benefit. I found this cool film from the 1940s made by Southern Pacific Railroad called "This Is My Railroad". I had done a cover of the Neil Young & Crazy Horse song "Southern Pacific" from their 1981 re-ac-tor album and combined it with scenes edited from the film. I was saddened by the news about REM breaking up today. So many great songs. I even read a biography on them about their beginnings. End of an era. This has to be my favorite REM song (I recently found out it is also Michael Stipe's favorite too). I learned the song when the album came out and this is a new recording of it:
