When I get married, will everyone send me a cauldron??
Not that there's much hope of my getting married...
Thank you!

I'm very glad you liked the story - I wanted to say something about the cost of winning, both in terms of loss of life and in what it does to those who are left to carry on. Though I feel a bit guilty at having been given AU as a prompt and still giving poor R/T such an angst-ridden time! I'm not sure my explanation for how they survived stands up to much scutiny (or logic), but some of my favourite parts to write were those featuring George and Minerva so it's great to hear you liked them.

I said that myself once... I'd better go out and order a cauldron, ready for you! ;)

Yours is a very good (and terrible) question. What would have happened if she'd stuck to her first plan? I've read somewhere that she said she sort of "traded" them for Arthur Weasley's life... I'm about to write the cruellest of things. Was it really necessary for him to survive? *bends down to duck the rotten tomato flying her direction*
Ok, ok, nevermind. I love Remus and Tonks together but above it all I love the idea of them together. Of two persons apparently so different having so much to share and so much to fight for... so I'm going back to Land of Denial, and I think I'm staying there for a while.
Cheers!
