I didn't really like AU before the events of Deathly Hallows, at least not writing it myself, but even now it still feels terribly unjust that Remus and Tonks didn't get a very hard won happy ending. Especially once I heard that JKR originally hadn't intended to kill them off, which rather begs the question: what would have happened if she'd stuck to her first plan?

As you've probably noticed, I don't like making things too easy for our favourite pair, but then I can't see how picking up the pieces after such a battle could be easy. The problems that they faced beforehand would still be there; the difference being that they have a family and a future now. So I wanted this to be full of hope and forgiveness, but always a reminder of all - and who - had been lost as well. The part with the reported was very handy as he could ask all those important questions, like how they managed not to die!

As for those cauldrons: I never thought I'd get married either, but those cauldrons have a way of surprising you. ;)

Thanks so much for such lovely comments!

Thank you very much for writing back. You're really kind!

Yours is a very good (and terrible) question. What would have happened if she'd stuck to her first plan? I've read somewhere that she said she sort of "traded" them for Arthur Weasley's life... I'm about to write the cruellest of things. Was it really necessary for him to survive? *bends down to duck the rotten tomato flying her direction*

Ok, ok, nevermind. I love Remus and Tonks together but above it all I love the idea of them together. Of two persons apparently so different having so much to share and so much to fight for... so I'm going back to Land of Denial, and I think I'm staying there for a while.

Cheers!
