Ouch! I hope you're doing better now and can get all the sleep you need -- and I'm also glad you have the NHS.

Thanks - home now. The NHS is a truly wonderful institution.

The key thing - did you leave with a diagnosis and/or cure?

Not as such. The CT scan is clear of anything sinister, so it appears all my squidgy bits are in good order. That leaves gallstones, a high likelihood, or something like IBS, not such a strong contender. I see the consultant in a few weeks time and at that point he is likely to book me for keyhole surgery to remove the gallbladder.

It sounds like quite the trying time though Val's antics were certainly entertaining. Were they able to figure out why you're having abdominal pain?

Congratulations on the future new addition!

Thank you. Poor Val. She's at a stage I saw my poor m-i-l at ten years ago. It's not a happy state to be in.

The likeliest culprit is still gallstones. They appear to have ruled out the scary alternatives.

Wow...you had quite a few days!! So are you okay? What did they say in the end?

Love that Val brought you the red pens.... How did she know? Sixth sense!

And you're having a granddaughter!! Congrats!!! *hugs*

More or less OK; still a little discomfort. I'm sorry - I know I owe you an email.

Val brought me the pens, then forgot why. Could well be my teacher Bene Gesserit Voice, which I did use on her a few times.

Could be a grandson. It's a baby, and the scans to date show it's fine, which is all that matters. {{hugs back}}

Um, do not even think about emails! I just hope you get to feeling better soon!

Lol...at least she kept you entertained.

And oh! Sorry...guess I misread... :o)

So they're not yet certain what the problem is? TV doctors always know within an hour!

He didn't look much like Hugh Laurie either. ::pouts::

Best bet is gallstones. Beyond that, instructions to use painkillers at need. I should be OK.
