It was customary for Upper Class citizens to visit the temple on this night, especially those with Alexandrian ties. So of course, Yuna was required to go.

It was an understatement to say that she wasn't happy about it.

Dressed in a pale blue, flowy silk dress, she hadn't taken too much notice to her appearance, choosing to wear very little makeup and keep her hair down. She had no need to dress up to impress anyone...the one she wanted was at home and she knew she didn't need to impress him like this.

Moving into the allocated room and accepting a cup of warm tea from a nearby priest, Yuna gave her thanks with a smile and immediately withdrew into a corner, avoiding the gaze of those priests who knew her. Avoiding Seymour, of course. Hopefully he wouldn't see her.

Dona saw Yuna across from the temple doing the customary apperce. She smiled and headed over to the girl pullig her black kimono type dress closer to her as not to trip.
"If it is not the lady Yuna."

Yuna remained where she was, eyes locked on the steaming tea cup in her hands. She had no idea if Seymour had seen her and she didn't want to know. She should have brought Tidus..

Dona cut through her thoughts however, causing her slender, small frame to jump lightly and gaze innocently at the offender. "I...yes?" Was it wrong to partially pay attention? She had no idea who this woman was, nor why she spoke with...well, a chill in her tone.

Perhaps someone else she had unwillingly offended. It wouldn't surprise her, these days.

Dona smiled. "It is good to see other people about on this day. Though, I figured you would be out with the less fortunate citizens."
She giggled a little. "I'm Dona. We've grown up in the same neighborhood and it quite hurts my feelings that you look at me as if I were some kind of bug."

Oh Noes! Tense social interaction maybe? the_ladyknight December 22 2006, 18:06:47 UTC
Beatrix was at the temple, actually assisting them with their works and preparations where she could. Baralai was so overwhelmed with Haven and then the prep work for The Shiva Festival that she'd come down here of her own accord to assist the poor, frazzled Praetor.

She moved about the temple proper, doing whatever the priests requested of her. She ended up in the same Room as most of the other visitors, but to refresh the tea pots and such.

She did not spot Lady Yuna, her mind on her work, rather then on seeing people she knew. Although,a few people she knew spotted her and they either said hello to her or eyed her speculatively and waited until she was out of earshot to whisper about her like school children.

Seymour could not help but spot Yuna as soon as she walked in the door. His hand gripped the banister and he excused himself from the group of priests he was attending to and made his way swiftly down the grand stairs, his long robes giving him the effect that he was floating almost as he moved about.

He kept his eyes focused on Yuna and nothing else. She looked even lovlier than when he had last seen her. While she was dressed and adorned simply, she outshone everyone in the room in Seymour's mind. His right hand clentched into a fist to settle himself down. Being this close to her was refreshing. Lady Yuna.. I may have lost you once, but I swear to the Gods I will have you again, and when that time comes you will help me bring forth the end of this world.

As he started to approach her he saw the the Lady Dona step in before him and he snapped out of his trance. Curses! He bit the inside of his cheek to keep himself from speaking out and turned away from the two women. There was plenty of time to corner the Lady Yuna later.. and ( ... )

Sey-Sey was a bad, bad boy... the_ladyknight December 24 2006, 03:36:46 UTC
Beatrix caught movement from the corner of her good eye and turned slightly, only to see Seymour... rushing down the stairs, staring at Lady Yuna...like she was all he wanted in the world. As if he only wished to be near her, to do god knows what to her ( ... )

Lenne had initially been disappointed that she had to lay aside her songstress outfit this evening, but of course, tonight was special. Sweeping through the room, with the folds of her pastel blue dress flowing around her, Lenne had a smile and a kind word for all the visiting townspeople. Some of them appeared to recognize her as the songstress Lenne, despite opting for a casual French twist over her trademark long hair for this evening. The inquiring looks of wonder were answered with a playful smile and a cup of warm tea, along with a whispered, “Shhh… it’s a secret for now”.

Lenne glanced around, her eyes falling upon the Maester, Seymour. Yes, she definitely did not want him to find out. Moving towards the corner, she kept her eyes on the lookout for more people that she knew.
