Birthday upcoming

So I sit here a few weeks before the big 4-0 b-day, being all retrospective and wondering about those things I've done, and what I might have done differently. I know deep down it's just a number, a birthday like very other year

Hmmm. Quite a milestone! You know, you never struck me as that old. :) I think you'd be very distinguished, though, with grey fur on your muzzle! Especially in your fez and robe. Very sophisticated and mature. ^^

Well it's true I don't act my age. But then why would I want to? I can have much more fun that way.

And there are so many different kinds of it.

I can only wish you'll fall in love, and someone else to fall in love with you =^_^=. Right now. Or soon.

But .. for what it's worth, I'm so happy you're there, otherwise I wouldn't have met you and we wouldn't be friends. That'd be terrible! =^_^= I'm glad you don't seem to look back just wishing you'd have done things all different. For as long as I've known you, you've been a kind friend. People might argue it's an online-only thing, but that's different from person to person. =^_^= We're friends.

The funny thing is we don't know so much about each others lifes, bust we have learned a lot about how each of us feels and thinks. We can still work out all the rest over time. We do have lots of time =^_^=.

Often I wish it was easily possible to just show up, pounce you and have a blast, like I have with my local friends, but that's gonna be difficult =^_^=.

I do wish I knew more available females, dear one, or I'd be introducing them to you every day. And 40? It is, indeed, just a number. Society makes it a fraught number, but to me, you're still the same lovable Giles you've always been.

Do celebrate that birthday. Celebrate it by looking back, and realizing you've made it through another year, another year with your friends and loved ones. Another year of triumph and progress.

We're with you. And we will be there until your path comes to an end.

And may that end come much later rather than sooner. I've been doing a lot of looking back lately. Much of it is certainly good, some I should have made better decisions upon, but that's probably just experience talking.

I certainly believe that I have a lot to be thankful for, my friends and loved ones among them.
