...until they re-boot the whole thing with different actors ten years from now. Or find some other Tolkien story to adapt.

Meh the Tolkien Estate won't release the rights to the Simarillion. Not to mention I doubt they attempt it for 20 years or so. There's an entire generation who love Jackson films. So its probably going to be a case for 20 to 25 years before they try

Not being a fan of anything Tolkien related, I can afford to be a cynic; it's all about those $. And once they have an opportunity to make more, they'll take it.

What stories though. They've been trying to get the rights to the rest of the work for decade.s and Christopher Tolkien will not have it. The only thing they have is the unfinished tales and even that's doubtful. Just wondering why aren't you a Tolkien fan?

Don't worry. With the amount of money Jackson's been grubbing from this franchise, they'll probably be making a movie from the LOTR linguistics appendices next.

The Tolkien Estate is a barrier, but in my experience most barriers are permeable when millions of dollars are on the other side.

Heee!!!! Well they better do it soon or else find someone who looks like a younger Hugo Weaving/Cate Blanchett, cause they're not getting younger.

They could CGI them, but,......
