First off a great big birthday shout to Standing_dragon

Its funny when you look back at the things we used to think we "New" I'm glancing through an encyclopedia from 1940 and finding all sorts of things that are really bizare/

Missed this post. I do know for sure how you feel when you read an old encyclopedia. I have some that are so old they are just called Cyclopaedias. Published in 1881. I looked up Detroit, population of almost 80,000 persons and lists the wheat, pork, hides and other goods that were imported. Three national banks, 40 miles of paved streets, most paved in wood. And it has seven steam powered fire engines. I was there last year and as I think of it I didn't notice that much change.
