It's just really irritating to me that the moderators of those comms seem to have no idea what an acceptable width is for posting photos outside of a cut. Maybe everyone else isn't as picky as me and doesn't mind scrolling left to right for days and days, but that shit is really not okay. Am I totally making up the 500 pixel wide standard that people/communities/fandom used to have? I mean, no, for the most part, it is stuff I've already seen, but sometimes that's nice, you know? I agree, though, that anything new will show up on my flist (generally about six posts in a row, which is also fucking irritating) and that people spam new-to-me stuff, but sometimes a daily photo is nice.

OKAY AWESOME I DID NOT THINK I WAS CRAZY. Some of these communities have posts where photos are 700 or 800 or more pixels wide, and that shit is just unacceptable. I don't want to be mean and nasty, but I honestly wonder if lately it's just a case of fairly young fans who haven't been in any fandom for a long time and don't know what's standard. I also don't know why I can't just let it go!
I'm sort of the same way with Twitter. Sometimes I'll post 5-10 tweets in a day and reply to a few people multiple times, but for the most part, I don't think I tweet too much. Some people just really need to shut up!

I am SO with you on the flist breaking pictures. If you don't want to cut it (and sometimes you don't, whatevs) at least re-size the damn thing. It's not that hard.
And yeah, most of the people who tweet incessantly think they're WAY more interesting than they are. That's one of the reasons I unfollowed Wil Wheaton. Dude is hilarious and a good writer, but damn, I don't give that much of a shit about people I know in real life, let alone a celeb.
K, I can almost guarantee you that there will be photos of me and both sisters and the niece and the new niece (and possibly my brother-in-law's mother and sister!) just as soon as the new niece decides to show up, which should be pretty much any day now! Seriously, just hang in there a little bit longer and there will be family spam. :DDDDD

I think it's really interesting and I follow a lot of hilarious people and a number of good friends, but I honestly cannot be bothered to keep up with you when you are tweeting every few minutes for a good portion of the day. You really need to stfu and realize no one cares that much.
I had to stop follow someone on twitter because the spam was pretty outrageous and gave me the motts at the same time. ugh. If you feel the need to post that many times, why don't you just make an LJ post? or tumblr or whatever the fuck? Why are you posting eighteen 140 character limit texts so you can rant? But, you know, that usually means hours and hours between posts, not three tiny posts that could have been posted all at one time! STOP SPAMMING ME, PEOPLE!

If you post more than five tweets an hour (not including replying to others) several hours a day, you might possibly have a Twitter addiction. Think about this: what are your total number of Tweets since you created your Twitter?
I think pretty much all of the possible options are awesome options, so I am happy to spam no matter what the outcome, though I am a little sad about the lack of Chantal love on my flist!
I love Twitter too. I just don't love backreading a ton of tweets from one person with nothing really to say. Don't tweet for the sake of tweeting! Channel your boredom into schoolwork or fic! YEAH, WRITE MORE FIC, THAT'S IT! WRITE SOME AWESOME CHANTAL/LINDSEY/ALICIA BFF FIC!
