Thanks so much. It was a fun entry to write to. I did two entries about cats, so I thought the one about digging should be about a dog.

Glad you loved it.

Nicely done! I like how fast-paced and somehow erratic the prose is to mirror this is an animal's impulse-driven mind. Really, really well done.

Thanks for the comment. I thought it would be interesting to do it from an animal's perspective, hopefully I didn't come off too dog like. (pant pant pant) lol .

I like this! Very whimsical! One suggestion: you have "Bark" as the dog's thanks to his/her human, then you have bark, as in tree bark, in the next sentence. It just jarred me a bit... Good work!

should I use woof instead? giazz_40 April 6 2009, 18:23:23 UTC
Hmm, I could use woof instead of bark, and bark like the tree...I never thought of that before now, but good catch, although you usually do catch me!

Hi-
I'm one of your editors this week.

Such a great piece! This one made me laugh. It's fun, light story. You were very creative to use the prompt as an animal actually digging. I liked the repetition and the abrupt change of subject. It seems to me that is how a dog really would think to itself!

Good luck with this month!

Thanks so much for the comment. I was really trying to think how the dog would think and talk. Although, I have to admit, I did just watch "Bolt" from Disney, so that helped in some ways. :)
