Back in tha 'hood
The Adventure Monkeys returned safely to their Baghdad home at 3:30 pm local time. The trip through Turkey, both ways, was far more pleasant than through Amman. This despite the additional 1.5 days travel time. We'll definitely be doing it this way in the future ( Read more... ) -

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks one year since Jayme and I have been in Iraq. We left the US on 31 July 2004, and after a few delightful days in Greece, arrived in Baghdad on 5 August 2004. And so, it's time to look back on what I have done.

Odds and Ends
slownewsday and I have moved into our new home, a "one story" bungalow in the back yard of my company's office. The ground floor is our private home, shared between Jayme and myself, TheBoss, and with two guest rooms. On the roof is a small apartment with bathroom and guard shack, where the guards live.
