slownewsday and I have moved into our new home, a "one story" bungalow in the back yard of my company's office.  The ground floor is our private home, shared between Jayme and myself, TheBoss, and with two guest rooms.  On the roof is a small apartment with bathroom and guard shack, where the guards live.  So it's kind of "one story", and kind of "nice one- ( Read more... )

This was probably a better idea than the cold concrete under a cargo pallet outside, but I think she'll be pretty displeased will all the sudden foot traffic that ( Read more... )

A scrawny calico cat has been hanging around the office lately. She's ragged-looking, often dirty, and pregnant. I found the staff chasing her with a broom two days ago, which I put an immediate stop to. They never understand why the boss extends his protection to creatures they consider rodents, but they obey with a kind of wry amusement ( Read more... )
