I really enjoyed that. Interesting song too. I hear all sorts of music I never would by watching vids.

Thank you! Isn't it an awesome song? I also hear all the good music from vids- in this case, I found the band because halcyon_shift used their song "Lost at Sea" for an amazing SCC vidlet. I'm really glad you liked it!

It is! It's pretty perfect music for the subject.

Sorry I don't have any deep thinky thoughts other than Cool! but I have no idea what technical terms to use. If I could point to a bit with you in the room and wave my hands around, that might work [g]

I always enjoy your vids, so keep on keeping on and stuff :)

Oh my goodness gracious, I'm not sure I can put into words how freaking awesome that was!
I love the song as well, very different, very catchy and extremely fitting. The way you edited this worked really well with the pace and tone of the music too - the cuts and the motion of sped up clips especially.
I love the section at the beginning with the shots of Cas and the Crossroads demon, very interesting.
The section towards the end of "you're going crazy living with him and without me" is totally my favorite. SOO perfect.
Reccing this like whoah!

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked the editing - I wanted to vid the song in part because it has so many different sections, with different paces to play with - so I'm delighted you felt the editing worked with it. And thank you so much for the rec - I really appreciate it!

okay, i've been watching this a lot as it's the only vid i have on my computer right now (main commputer is in the shop) and i am just SO IN LOVE with the way you match the music to the visuals. like, the buildup to the "too much grease" line and then the slower quiet build after that--and it is both slow/quiet, and a BUILD, with the flashes of red/eyes (whatever that is *g*) and the increasingly ominous clips of Castiel pulling the knife out, and the way you manage to emphasize BOTH the line "you know my family" AND the beat that comes AFTER it, because it's such a killer when an important line isn't musically emphasized--basically this is my favorite thing about vidding, the thing i always strive to do and love to do, is turning audio into visual, and you have done it PERFECTLY.

Oh, wow, I'm so flattered that you took the time to deconstruct it like that! Part of the reason I loved this song was because it had such an interesting structure and various "parts" with different rhythms, and I love trying to vid to those changes - so I'm glad you liked how it came out! (The flashing red eyes, by the way, are Dean's memories of being in Hell). Anyway, I jsut couldn't be more pleased that you're enjoying it even without knowledge of, you know, what's going on with these characters - thank you!

GUH! If only I had the brains to fully understand every metaphor and parallel you had going in this.

That aside, the pace and beat use and editing in general was astounding.

Wonderful work!!

Oh wow, I enjoyed this so much. So many really good lyric matches - I particularly love 'you thought I must have broken in... / they hand me the key'. It really gets at what makes Castiel so sinister. I love how your editing responds to the music too, right from Alistair getting fried at the beginning. It's so satisfying how you pulled it all together both lyrically and musically. Skillful work!

Yes, that lyric was totally one of the reasons I wanted to use this song for Castiel! It was one of the first things I thought of, so I'm so glad you liked that part, and the vid - thank you!
