finally got a linux install working - and im loving it. just need to get Cedega and then i think im done.

if anyone knows any good ubuntu friendly firefox plugins to view embedded .wmv files, please let me know..

www.ubuntuguide.org has alot of really good stuff - I believe it has wmv codecs somewhere down the list.

Once you're comfy with linux, I'd recommend trying out the xfce desktop, rather than gnome (which can be quite cumbersome).

apt-get install xfce-desktop

from the command line, will do it for you.
