Lowcountry Saturday Drive

Yesterday I had to get out of the house so I took a drive around the countryside. I drove up Alt. US-17 toward Walterboro. I stopped off at an old graveyard and a couple of historical markers to take some pictures ( Read more... )

Cool cemetery. Is that poison ivy in there? Are you itching now?

Nope. . no poison ivy. . . but the back part of the cemetery was pretty grown over. I swore I saw some tombstones covered by a huge azalea. I wish I could have walked around more, but my knees where starting to give out.

You should check out my Flickr site. There are a bunch more old cemeteries in there. . .I've a thing for old graveyards too. :-)

If you don't want to wander through all the sets to find them. . .just click on the Tags link then click cemeteries. . .it's one of the bigger tags. :-D

love the light - the quality of the light - its so gentle - soft and not intrusive - lets colours be how they really are - aussie light can make things look washed out because of the glare that comes back at you - not an eye squinting glare - just a little harsh - thank you for showing - and i hope you aren't still feeling lonely ...
