Listed more anime on ebay. I don't know how many will sell, but I want to get rid of some of them. I ended up destroying all the DVDs for Baccano, Basilisk, Dead Leaves and Lone Wolf and Cub this evening as well, because the content was so unholy, and to show that I could. Remember, hate can never save! ;)

One could probably make a point that sin is bound to persist until it's become entirely clear that (generic) you cannot escape from it by your own efforts, because only after that's happened will there be enough room in your life for God's grace to manifest.

That's the idea, but I need to really want to escape from sin too. While I'm quite willing never to read Fullmetal Alchemist, Claymore or any western comics again, I'm having great difficulty actually destroying the ones I've been unsuccessful in selling. I don't entirely think that this means I'm not saved, but it's a worry.

This is just my highly suspect opinion and I don't try to convince you of anything, but a different viewpoint sometimes helps when things worry you ( ... )

Very true the sin of valuing comics too much was in me, but I just didn't want them around as particularly burdening possessions. I think the content can be sinful in itself too if God sees it as sinful.

I need faith that I'm saved to trust Jesus for any other help, since I can't do anything good in my own strength. Though if I was consciously sinning and thought I was saved that would be presumption, so we need to test ourselves.
