I just found out that if I talked to some of you guys about a "thermionic valve" you'd look baffled.

Apparently, you call it "vacuum tube".

...

But if you had talked to me about a "vacuum tube" I would have been equally baffled. I would have assumed a "vaccum tube" is a part of a device you use to clean up the floor.

So we're even.

*g* I didn't realize she was on your flist and responded assuming she wasn't because there wasn't already an answer from her! (She lives in my time zone, though, so I guess she wouldn't be home from work yet -- it's only a little after 6pm here.)
