Again, why do I have a Facebook account?

Background: I live in the United States. So does my friend "Ann," who is involved in a long-distance relationship with "Bob" from England. A third friend, "Sarah," is also American.

I've never heard anyone over here use the word. So I can understand Ann and Sarah not knowing what it means, but it sure doesn't look as if it's pronounced block. To me, anyway.
