"If you love something set it free..."

A wonderful illustration of love with respect, the kind that can last. Your picspam inspires hope. :D

I love and hate this picspam. Love it because it's the girls making no bones about what they want: to be empowered, to be awesome, to be kickass persons.

What I hate is they've both been kicked down this entire season by others (including the men who supposedly support them: Dan's been inconsistant to Serena and Chuck was a stalker to Blair). It's artificial drama for the sake of drama: after doing everything possible to break them, NOW the writers are saying "but of course we don't think they are really weak. We know all along they're bitches, but we just had to break them first to get them there" when they NEVER needed to be broken in the first place. (Besides, the guys don't this treatment. They always bounce back, unscathed, no matter how heinous the crime they've committed.)

Pretty colouring and I like the gifs mixed in with the pics too! :D

I think, they're both weak and strong. Sometimes they let themselves, other times they choose to. I don't think they've been kicked the whole time. I don't think they're that weak at all.

What I think is absolute, though, is that *EVERYTHING* on this show is for the sake of drama.

I don't think they're that weak at all.Well, I should clarify that I DON'T see either Blair or Serena as weak characters. However, I do think the writers see them as weak. Since season 3, both have manipulated into having storylines where S is supposedly weak because she's "a slut" and Blair is supposedly weak because she's "a bitch." I think those are the very qualities that make them strong, but yet both S and B have had to apologize time and again in seasons 3-4 for those very characteristics. (Actually once can trace it back as far as season 2 but S and B were able to point out how their flaws could be strengths too so it was more evenly balanced ( ... )
