Jan 31, 2011 17:17

Alrighty, my first ever gtfo!

So my friend xjust_anotherx  was awesome and bought me and another friend a meta blouse and altered Fruits Parlor skirt last week from user savpixie with the intention of having us pay her back once they arrived.

They arrived today... in less than pristine condition.

Pretty much. ]:

If they hadn't played the sympathy card, this post would not be here. But that was just over the line.

That's just gross :I

Boyfriend needs to shut up - the buyer doesn't need to know his whole life story.

My exact thought.

The unemployment thing is understandable, don't curr about your medicine and fighting.

If clothing fibers are molding, that usually means the item is pretty well damaged. IF you could get the mold out you're still likely to end up with permanent discolouration ( ... )

But seriously, what if Kirsty or Shane, or me or Lindsey for that matter, were allergic to mold? Or oranges for that matter?

Bleh. I love me some dramu, but this is just plain stupidity.

Even if one of you was asthmatic depending on the type of mold you can even get pneumonia from such a thing. It's unsanitary which is why it's unacceptable to do this in any business practice.

It's been a long ass time since I sold anything, but it was a blouse--in several several bags, in a box with bubblewrap. And I think I taped them anyways. Everything I have ever bought has been wrapped up and sealed, even if it's just triple bagging and a bit of masking tape. There's no excuse. Everyone has a couple of walmart plastic bags if nothing else, it's just as effective as anything. And there's literally no reason for food of any kind to end up in your clothing.

I'm so glad that none of you had a reaction to it!
As for cleaning...It's a white blouse. If the tag says that you can use bleach, I would probably do so. Test a little WATERED DOWN (You probably know that, but I just gotta say it.) on a part of the blouse that is not visible. I think it's 1 part bleach to at least 4 parts water. Then, if all looks safe, bleach the mold. It kills it pretty well. I've never tried this on clothes, but my mom did it to a part of one of our plaster walls after a hurricane destroyed our roof in one place. It takes out the mold smell pretty well too. I don't know if anyone else has tips, but Google is probably gonna be a good resource in this case.
I'm sorry that y'all have to deal with this.

My face: D:

So disgusting. I don't care when or how it happened; the seller is responsible for proper packaging! That's not even going into the stained FP apron which deserves a neutral in itself. I hope your friend gets her money back. :(

The FP was for me, because it's my dream print.

I'm alright(ish) with the stains simply because I can easily just turn the apron thingy around, since it's detachable, the only difference is a little heart lace, the bows can be removed.

But definitely not worth $100, even though it fits me. If it had been advertised for $50 with the damages explained, I would have jumped at it.

Aw man, I'm so sorry. :( It's good that it's something you can work around while wearing it, but what a bitter disappointment. I can't stand when sellers don't mention these things! Especially with the seller saying "I was TERRIFIED that something would happen to the meta blouse and spent like an hour and a half trying to check it for stains."... but not the FP? I know she didn't intend for this to happen, but she and Boyfriend sound like they are desperately grasping for excuses. I hope you can at least get the stains out of the FP... the blouse is probably beyond anyone's help... not that I'd wear it anyway, euuugh. x__x

Pretty much. :/ We were hoping that this would just go relatively smoothly... but not so much.

I know I just feel so bad about the blouse. ]:

dat boyfriend needs to stfu. srlly. :I
He sounds like a real asshole...

Just because your unemployed dosen't mean you can ship orange peels/trash with your items. CHECK YOUR STUFF BEFORE YOU SHIPPPPPP.

so sorry this happened to you. ;o;

We will hopefully get it resolved. o.o

But thank you for the kind words, xjust_anotherx needs them most right now since she's the one having to deal with all the actual drama, I'm just the announcer to the people. xDD

Your welcome, I really hope everything turns out good for her, and you all get some sort of refund for the items.
