I saw the word "schadenfreude" in an article at BBC.co.uk the other day and realized there are three German words I see all the time in more elite (philosophical, editorial, New Yorker, etc.) writing that simply have no adequate translation:
- schadenfreude
- Sturm und Drang
- weltanschauung
