worried about dad
He only ate cereal today, he didn't want any more food, I tried all day .. he had NO cookies today, just a couple smokes .. sat on the porch for 2 hrs .. took a short nap then just sat in his chair doozing off for around 5 hrs .. finally got him to go to bed
He's seeing a doctor tomorrow -
dad is different
Around 4 dyas ago I notice dad moving slower, his voice more raspy .. it's been hot here .. I'm moving slower.
But now he needs help getting dressed .. he can dress himself but he doesn't know what to put on .. he can feed himself but needs the food prepared for him .. he's eating LESS cookies.

crabby awakening
I really wish I didn't wake up so crabby .. I'm trying, obviously not hard enough .. sleep is the biggest problem .. more like lack of deep more than 3 hours at a time sleep .. having a small furbaby that needs to go, often at times and will no longer use the pee pads doesn't help .. hopefully tonight will be different ( Read more... ) -
stranger invited in
early afternoon dad invited a stranger in .. I came down stairs to quite a surprise .. there stood a young man next to dad in the sun room .. "who the hell are you?" .. he stated his name .. "what are you doing in my dads home?" .. "he asked me in but I need to get going" .. "do you know my dad?" .. "no" .. "why would you go into a strangers home ( Read more... ) -
CT scan nerves
Mary took dad to the doc this morning .. she thinks he has emphysema, the CT scan will tell more *sigh* .. Mary also set up appointments for physical therapy, back pain and to have his lip looked at, he has what looks like a bruise *sigh*
gonna try and go to bed soon

Dad told Mary he has two years to live, I hope he's wrong .. he has a CT scan scheduled for next Tuesday to see what the spots are around his lungs
I find myself sleeping, actually napping more .. the pile of paperwork growing *sigh*
last night I napped until 10pm, awoke to dad being in bed already, he forgot to eat supper :(

quick catch up
my friend stayed here May 17th til May 23rd .. interesting
June 4th .. Electrician was here at 7am yesterday morning, checking what needed to be done. Taking dad to the Dr later today, his cough is worse. Electrician back tomorrow morning at 7am to fix a light and install a new ceiling fan in the bathroom, around $400 for the work.

trying to quit smoking
I attempted to quit April 3rd (cold turkey) .. then tried again April 11th (vaping) .. lasted until April 22nd, I let sadness overtake me and I opened a pack I had, smoked the last cig yesterday .. Once again April 25th vaping only. I was hoping that cig was going to taste like crap after none for 11 days, just the opposite. NOT GIVING UP THOUGH ( Read more... )
