I've grown up a bit thanks to military school. It's taught me a whole lot about life and how to properly act. It has also led me not to put up with bullshit anymore. General Leave
So, we got General Leave for Mid-Semester Break. Now, for everyone who isn't Army ROTC, that meant you could go home. HOWEVER the dumb-ass Army brass here decided to put a Land Navigation Course on Saturday, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF BREAK!!!!!! So we can't go home. SPARTANS!!! TONIGHT, WE DINE IN HELL!
Speaking of Spartans, I saw 300. Needless to say (it grossed 70 million in one weekend) it was abso-friggin-lutely incredible. Josh and I spent the next 2 hours talking about it and hitting each other with sticks, in a lame attempt to recreate our favorite scenes (and possibly make some new ones. Also a terrible idea). Lord of War is a sweet movie. Nicolas Cage and Ethan Hawke. Go see it ASAP. I can tell I'm going to be slacking a lot in the next couple of weeks, because I'm already in two colleges, one of which is a definite alternative to any of the three academies (Norwich) because they selected me for their Corps of Cadets and are giving me scholarship cash. I watched an EXCELLENT movie just now. TAPS. Amazing. George C. Scott, Tim Hutton, Sean Penn, and a VERY VERY young Tom Cruise. Hutton plays a high ranked cadet and Cruise is his second in command. Army 14 Navy 26
Well, for the 8th year in a row, Navy won. The boys in blue beat the boys in black for another year. Just like last year, I was really hoping to see West Point take the game, you know, root for the underdog. Needless to say, they couldn't do it.
