Each year passes quickly and at any corner those around us can die unnecessarily due to violence, suicide or preventable disease. It is heartbreaking and devastating to suffer this loss and to see those around us suffer but the only way it will ever change is if you make an effort, any effort, to change the factors that case this loss ( Read more... )

Six years ago a couple of friends and acquaintances took their own lives. For most of us reading this it was our first, and most prominent at the time, experience with loss. Since October I have attempted to write posts a few times only to feel that I cannot fully express my life via words, which is probably true to an extent. The english language falls very short of actually providing an outlet for our emotions and thoughts. I heard a quote this morning that I entirely agree with:

I had my final round of blood work done today and hopefully the last endoscopy/biopsy done on tuesday. Now it's just  a matter of waiting to see if I finally have an answer to my eating issues.

I am at work right now slacking because my mind keeps wandering, as it does on rainy days (especially in fall/winter). I am more happy right now than not and sometimes I worry that it is a rogue to cover up the fact that at my weakest moments I feel like my entire world is crumbling.
