Mom has to have bypass surgery next week.

How much does this suck? 1,2,3,many,lots.

The suckage is that it has to happen, the non-suckage is that she's getting the help she needs. What can I do for her? I am willing to do anything, please let me know; I really mean it and will do it. If it means streaking for the team, you know I'm there! (In a low serious voice, you know I would love it!) I'm sending good vibes and I'm sending prayers for her and the rest of your family. Love is the answer Kiddo!

Oh, I know it's scary. The thought of any surgery is. My second oldest cousin had bypass surgery last year and he's great. He traveled to Italy a few months later and is planning a return trip with his wife this fall too.

thank you! I know she is going to be fine, it is just so scary, she has only been sick a couple of times in my life and I just feel so lost. I want to be strong for her like she always is for me, but I feel really full of fail on that. I appreciate all the good thoughts and hugs, it really helps.

You being there for her is more than a lot of people have when they go through this, so you don't need to worry about being strong. Dealing with all this takes a lot of strength. I'm sending good thoughts your way.
