Ohh, interesting...

The most bizarre fic idea I've had is an AU where the Beatles actually turned out to be some no-talent boy band just singing whatever awful songs their handlers made them sing (with all the help that studio technology of the 60s had to offer), as opposed to the revolutionary songwriters and performers they were (well, some people at the time saw them that way anyway), and they got "found out." But what I couldn't work out was whether this would actually make much of a difference...after all, the fans still love(d) any number of only marginally or non-talented performers. Anyway, in the end they discovered their native talent and came back bigger and better than before.

Don't know if that made the least bit of sense...I think I was ingesting large quantities of mind-altering substances while half-asleep at the time...
