Sigh. It would figure. I made a new icon that I really rather like but I can't get it below 50k and I can't remove any of the 9 frames of animation without seriously affecting the quality of the images. I know I've seen some icon makers having up to 12 frames of animation in their icons and since all of mine are black and white I'm a little ( Read more... )

I made a smaller version that's 39k. I tested it out and it can be used. I'm just as surprised as you are that it didn't originally come out smaller -- and it's in black and white. Odd. Anyway, here's the smaller version. Apologies if it kinda looks too optimized:

eeep, forgot to mention, I used Jasc Animation Shop 3 to make it smaller. ;)

Ee yay I love you! I might have to try to find that. I use an animation wizard called Animation Shop. I think it came with PSP? Anyway, I have a suspicion that it's optimizations aren't very good. If it's only a few frames it works all right but it's not good for a heavy load.

Anyway, thank you very, very, very much. :)

Jasc Animation Shop is the one that comes with PSP. (I have it too)

I love your new icons! Although I do wonder about the "Paul in jail" one--what exactly did he do to get in there, I wonder?!?

This is a painting that Klaus Voormann did of Paul in jail in Hamburg for lighting the Bambikino on fire (or so said Koschmider). Of course, Pete was there too (probably in another cell) but I suppose since he didn't make it big with them, Klaus only later painted Paul.

Well, even Paul and Pete admitted to lighting a fire, but in theirs they simply lit a condom on fire. Koschmider was just mad because they were leaving him to go to the Top Ten club, so he got back at them by busting them and having them deported.

I wonder if there are any photos of Paul in jail in Japan, after he got busted for trying to bring in half a pound of pot in 1980. He said that what he really feared was rape, so he tried to have his ass to the wall at all times. :P The images that conjures up are really...indescribable! Paul prison rape!
