I can't believe that Shonda would even think of killing George off. He's got so many fans that are already annoyed at his complete lack of a storyline. She'd be crazy to actually kill him and have Izzie live. I mean, it's George!
Nah, I'm totally all over Izzie living. I find the character of Izzie much more entertaining than George (partly because he's hardly been in it this season I guess... but mostly 'cause Alex 'n Izzie are my MerDer

I think the main issue for me with this supposed storyline is that it doesn't seem like George's character at all to me. I just can't fathom the idea that George would enter the army like this. I mean, his best friend is fighting a make or break disease here that should in the real world kill her, but obviously in the world of TV all bets are off and I they'll have her pull through. So let's say Izzie does make it , and her best friend is just going to leave her after all that?!? I mean, I know George hasn't been involved this season (and don't even get me started on that one), but his total lack of interaction with just Izzie is completely not-George like. And the line given on the show that he wanted to give Izzie and Alex their own time is just such bull to me. These interns don't know how not to be all up in everyone else's business! (And oh how I miss the interaction and chemistry between those five---that was such a core of the show and I hate that it hasn't been a focus as of late). Not to mention that this is the guy

Yeah, I don't understand how he can leave either. I mean, as much as I don't like Izzie myself, he's her best friend. She has Alex, yeah, but boyfriends aren't always equal to best friends.
