First, Kirkus Reviews gave Trafalgar & Boone a glowing review. Nothing but praise, no need to pick and choose the nice bits. It was ALL nice bits. Then I noticed they gave it a star. Then they decided to include it in their printed magazine (the 8/15 issue, if anyone is a subscriber). I thought that was the extent of it, but just today I discovered

You've done a successful series before this - several of them! (Notice how cleverly I avoid having to remember the correct plural of "series.") I have no doubt this one will be just as good, and maybe even better.

It's so strange that when I first started writing, I had a five-book plan. After that, I was out of ideas. That first five-book series never happened, and now I have three different series that are five books deep: Claire Lance, Riley Parra, and I just finished book 5 of Underdogs.

I just have to ignore the people watching and write the stories as planned. And the pressure isn't REALLY on the sequel, since it's already 95% written.
