Just yesterday at work I was giving my (youth-focus)co-worker a short lesson on fanfic coz some of the teens are interested in writing: #1 NANOWRIMO #2 AO3 #3 tooms.gossamer - just to show variety and my daughter's earliest x-files fanfic in Oct '95. Also had to explain slash/femslash, Mary Sue/Harry Stu and other things of which she had no clue.
Must have been something in the stars. ;)
