Not my first...
But one of my first favorites, one of the first stories I look back on and say, "Oh, yeah... that was pretty fair." And if you'll notice the URL, this WAS featured on Gateworld way back in the day. Pretty proud of that. ;D I remember that the story was inspired by a misheard Warren Zevon lyric ("They say Jesus will find you wherever you go/But when he'll come looking for you, they don't know" was heard as "IF he'll come looking for you.") I got the idea of Jack being lost and alone and that spawned this fic. I was thinking about my writing origins the other day and this was the earliest fic I feel proud of, so I thought I'd share it here for all you who came in late. Sure, I look back and I see horrible errors (it's and its make me wanna cry ;D) but at least the story doesn't end with Sam getting pregnant (yes, I wrote one of those, no I won't find it for you). It's gen (hence the Gateworld hookup), 7,500 words, and it has some violence in it. Enjoy!
