Thank you. It took me far too long to be able to write this, but the important thing is that the time has come. :D

Here's hoping! I feel once it's passed, there will be too much laziness to try and reinforce something. ~fingers crossed~

WOOT!!!

As someone who served (before DADT) I can't possibly tell you how happy I am to see this travesty of a law finally done away with.

Thanks for showing our favorite ladies getting to celebrate this victory!

Score one for common sense! And I couldn't let this momentous occasion pass without showing Sam and Janet's reactions! :D

Erin smiled. "I'm sorry, is that supposed to be new information?"

YES.

I'm so giddy from the DADT news, I can barely type coherent feedback.

~beams~ Gotta love it, because you KNOW not even Sam couldn't have kept it a secret for eight years. :D

It's amazing news! It shouldn't be (seems like common sense to not kick willing soldiers out of the army) but... it's a world where common sense deserves celebration. ;-D ~cheers~

I've always wondered how a nation-wide Draft would work with DADT in place. I mean, every draftee who didn't want to serve would claim to be suddenly gay or bisexual, right?

So relieved that we're on our way to having EVERYONE serve openly and honestly.

And yes, Sam's too straight-forward to want to live a lie.

Very true! I think it's ridiculous that they couldn't serve before. It has no bearing on how they fight. Like Erin's joke... knowing Sam is gay doesn't have any influence on giving orders.

Now, gay or not, there may be an issue with the fact that Sam assigned her lover to such an important position on the ship... but we can ignore that. ;-D
