Dear Mr. Riordan,

You just sunk my ship permanently. I hope you're happy.

*retreats into a corner and hugs Nico tight*

Signed,
A sad fangirl who's never gotten the ship she wanted in ANY fandom

It's not that bad really. Awesome actually. But I'm still a fangirl in mourning for my lost ship. Huhuhu :(

and I'm just replying now! haha.

I didn't want to comment on your other blog as people might kill me for spoilers. but I didn't think the Nico development came out of field. I guess I've been reading a lot of LGBT lit lately, but it's a common portrayal of homosexual feelings from teenagers who see themselves as heterosexuals. His dour attitude makes much more sense now, for me. :)

I guess I wanted more hints than that. Hehe. Because yeah, the dourness could have come from a lot of different issues: abandonment, isolation, generally being excluded because he's a son of Hades. It felt like a sudden development because I didn't see any specific foreshadowing that that was Nico's specific issue.

Well you have...um, Aoshi/Misao? Ehehe.

(I cannot comment on House of Hades because I haven't read the book yet.)

That doesn't count because it was established in the beginning. Haha
