Haha! The WWII questions reminds me of when I lived with my host family in Kyoto and Kiyotaka (then 6) had just seen the movie Grave of the Fireflies. He kept asking his mom all these questions about WWII while I was there, which was kind of awkward for me. At one point he said something and his mom was like, "Uh, Kiyotaka, we lost. The US won," and Kiyotaka immediately turned to me with this look of shock and betrayal, like, "Why would you do that?" Lol, like it was just up to me.
