[The comm comes on abruptly, screen speckled with water and tilted as if it’s been knocked down. It should shortly be clear why. Paarthurnax has found himself a small lake and yes, the dragon is splashing around in it like a giant birdbath, ducking into the water and rising to slosh the water off his scales with a satisfied swish of his tail.]

[Someone is very irritated as he turns on the feed.]

Anybody else get a visit from our new paperboy?

[He turns the video so the basement window of his apartment can be seen. The paperboy has good aim: Hit it dead center and smashed it real good.]

[There is a loud, horrible thunk as the feed begins in darkness. This is quickly followed by a string of unintelligible cursing and the soft whoosh of the pod door opening.]

[Paarthurnax takes the advice he’s given seriously, and so for the most part Genessia’s citizens haven’t been disturbed by a dragon swooping over their heads at all hours of the day and night. Stillness and contemplation have been his watchwords for so long that this is just a change of scenery.

[There’s a new, furry face in town, making himself known on the comms. Must be new in town - he doesn’t appear to have left his pod-thing that he arrived in yet.] I’m surrounded by water! Come and help me, please. I’ve been here all ni-i-i-i-ght. [yep, the end of that was sobbed somewhat pathetically. Maybe not so new then.]

[The video feed that comes on is taken up mostly by spines and grey-white scales. Almost entirely, in fact, because Paarthurnax is peering a wee bit too close. It’s not easy to judge these screens when you’ve never seen one used. He decides it appears to be working, anyway.]
