[They're more felt than heard, and they bring a heightened awareness of the life around him. He breathes deep, satisfied as he surveys his surroundings: tiny things in the walls beneath him, scattered humans whose presences burn like little torches... one closer and brighter and... quite high up.]
[He pauses and turns his head toward that presence. His voice rises from a whisper in greeting.]
