Things I Wonder About That I Have No Answers For

• What our world would be like without egotism.  (Not egoism.)  ..i.e. People do act in their own self interests and that is fine.  It seems to work for us. So, amongst the Gasparilla ridiculousness yesterday, I thought about how wasteful beads are.  People go crazy for them, but after the parade they are thrown away.  It's horrible for the environment.  Plus, there is a certain sense of accomplishment in the ownership of those beads and you may feel guilty for throwing them away.  Why not donate them ( Read more... )

My parents sleep in separate rooms.

My dad falls asleep in "my parents' room" with the lights and TV on.  My mom falls asleep with the dog and at least one of my little brothers in the guest bedroom also with the TV on.

I am one of five children.  My parents have been married almost 30 years.  They sleep in separate beds and have been for years.

When will people grow up?  On Nov. 5th, two of my managers at work said we should give out free chicken wings because Obama won.  (They were McCain supporters.)  They also said that black people will "revolt" and "go crazy" if Obama were elected.  Seems to me that the only crazy people out there are the ignorant white folk.  Examples:
