i usually stay up 'til 6 AM these days and get a few odd hours of sleep between then and 10 AM; i should probably fix that. :x

it's no worries! (friends should never be demanding of attention ;) )we are busy people. I don't sleep any more unless I'm reading...and then it's only accidental. Books are actually not bad pillows.
