It was wonderful, to say the least.  Brody sang me this (which I would like to embed, but it will not let me) in a crowded pub in Cork, surrounded by our dearest friends from this side of the pond.  I, of course, cried like a ridiculously gay man--but I was not alone in my tears.

This is how I feel every day when I wake up.  And you know what?  That's something.

I've been a bit depressed of late, and perhaps understandably so,  which is why last night was such a beautiful moment.

I am not sure if all of you have seen pictures of Brody, but he is a rugby-playing, broad-shouldered, tall man--very strong, very straight--and not the lightest on his feet.

I came home this afternoon to a totally refurbished office!  A few of my friends got together over the weekend and, under Brody's direction, built me shelves, repainted, rearranged and bought new, wheelchair-friendly furniture, and simply did a fantastic and beautiful job envisioning a room I can actually feel comfortable and happy spending time in ( Read more... )
