That's incredibly naive of them. It's 2007, and a user is repeatedly posting long entries full of NSFW images that annoy and offend the community, but that's within their terms of service agreement? Maybe we should file a report including a dictionary definition of "troll".

When I filed my report (I got an identical response a minute ago), I was interested to see that among the complaints I could choose from, 'inappropriate user icon' was one; 'inappropriate content' was not.

No, it's not.

I don't like them, but I think they should be allowed to post it. Not spamming communities with it, mind, but in their own area. Just like I think everyone else should be allowed their own little corners of LJ as well.

I think that they should be allowed to post these types of "opinions" (as LJ put it) in their own space. I don't think they should be banned for their opinions, obvs, but for spamming a community with inappropriate content with the intent to harass.

I fully defend anyone's right to have a journal that says, "I think homosexuality/transgenderism/broccoli is wrong and here's why...." But I do not defend going into a support-type community and harassing its members.

Does this mean I can post hardcore porn wherever I want? Or go to different communities and slag them off for not being like me? (I'm referring to the fisting pictures and the pictures of hate-demonstrations)

OF COURSE people like this should be banned. If not banned for posting offensive material, then banned for spamming in SEVERAL places. Does LJ not realise people who misuse this place don't belong here?
