Thank you for updating. I am sure it's better to let people check in in their own time rather than harass them for updates, but it's still hard to sit and wait...

I'm often bad about forgetting that updating on one platform (or having a friend mention my name on one platform in their own update) doesn't mean that information is magically disseminated to everyone I know, including the people who don't check twitter/LJ/DW/etc. But I'm glad I remembered that bit of basic logic today. (Which reminds me, it's probably also time for my once-an-eon Facebook update.)

I am choosing to look on it as a day off, albeit one for terrible reasons. I can either sit at home and fret about news updates, or I can use today to make brunch and tidy up and write and only occasionally check in for updates; I choose the latter.

Me too, I have to say! But yeah, I'm not even all that stressed -- staying off the streets is more than anything to stay out of the police's way and such, even though it's not actually our neighborhood that anything is really happening in. So it's basically a quiet day off for a sucky reason, punctuated with checking on the local news now and again to see what's going on. (And not on the national media, ugh.)

*hugs back*

I'm glad you were and are safe and sound. I completely agree about wanting people to knock it off.
